Cholesterol Medications Discontinued

Happy Friday Ladies,

I wanted to share my great news with you.  Before I started the Kitchari I was supposed to be taking Cholesterol meds, actually I have been avoiding them for a few years.  I knew when I got the invitation to participate in your class that it was my one chance to get myself on track.  I am so excited to tell you that I went to see my doctor yesterday and she told me I don’t have to take my cholesterol meds and to continue doing what I am currently doing.  I still need to get it down more but long term prognosis is if I continue with my current diet that over a 10 year period I will bring my chances of developing heart disease down to 2%.

Of course I have always known what I should be eating and doing to bring my levels down, but it’s not that simple.  What the Kitchari has done for me is take all the guess work out of it.  I make two batches a week and it does take time to make, but then I am done.  I don’t have to think about what to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner, no choices or decisions to make.  I just love that!!  Now I still have to cook for my family but they are benefiting as well and every once in a while I cheat and have an egg or a peace of bread (love bread).  I have had no red meat, cheese or anything processed really and that has been huge in helping my cholesterol levels come down.

Thanks so much and good luck with your new class.
